Wings System
Customizable mobile opening panel - design by Gio Latis
The year 2020 will be remembered as the year of Covid-19. That is a year of fear, need for protection, social distancing, caution in contacts and behaviors, continuous adjustment of our habits, lifestyles, ways of living and relating to others. In designing systems to live safely in this new era, however, we cannot give in to the virus by giving up the environmental quality that years of culture have brought us to live. The separation devices such as partitions, walls, dividers and so on become elements of mobile furniture that incorporating certain elements of our tradition of living lead to new more virtuous behavior, using technological materials, paying attention to acoustics and light, integrating the green and the most advanced technology.
The in-tenso family of partitions is designed to give flexibility to hybrid environments by playing on the versatility of the Texo system, which allows to tension different types of fabrics on modular aluminum profiles.
The system consists of simple flat panels in different sizes, mounted on wheels or on fixed feet, and composite screens that can be opened, with visible or concealed hinges and a series of accessories that can be interlocked with the supporting frames: from handles to fixed and adjustable shelves, from clothes racks to supports for all home office needs. The two sides of the screen can take on different characters from each other, using different fabrics, prints or customizations, to easily fit into the atmosphere of the home or office. The structural parts of the frames and the plates are in aluminum with finishes in different chromatic anodizations, or lacquered.
